This Highlander Cherry Sour has recently become my favorite! It’s made with scotch BUT if you want to make it with bourbon I say go for it because it’s just as good. Although then you’d have to call it a Southern Cherry Sour 😂

This Balvenie 12 year is perfect for it!

Highland Cherry Sour

2oz scotch
0.5oz cherry syrup
0.5oz lemon juice
0.25oz agave nectar
2 dashes of bitters

Shake all ingredients with ice and serve! Garnish with a lemon twist or cherry if you prefer

I doubled the recipe for these 10oz martini glasses which are in my Amazon storefront. I absolutely love them!

Sunset Martini

2oz vodka
1oz triple sec
1/2oz lemon juice
1/2 grenadine

Put vodka, triple sec, & lemon juice in a shaker with ice and give it a good shake shake…

Pour into your preferred drinking glass then slowly pour the grenadine in giving it this pretty layered effect.

Stir to mix (I know it’s pretty but don’t skip this part) and ENJOY!

Hubby and I decided to go out last night and we finally hit up Baker & Able at 106 Jefferson and it was awesome! Great views from the rooftop & the service was awesome as well. They definitely have some unique drink selections.

Next up we got dinner at The Poppy & Parliament for the first time as well and it did NOT disappoint. We started with frog legs and crab cakes, both were pretty good but the star of the show was the fish and chips! I was very happily surprised. We will be going back soon!

It’s always a fun time in Downtown Huntsville and you’re never lacking in food options 😁

So, since we bought a bottle of it I figured I’d try to find some cocktails to make with it and of course I had to find at least one with bourbon 🥃

Bourbon Limoncello

1.5 oz bourbon
1.5 oz limoncello
0.5 oz dry vermouth
Squeeze of lemon - I didn’t do this because I felt the limoncello was enough lemon 😂

Stir, pour, and enjoy!

1 cup ice
1 1/2 oz espresso
1 1/2 oz coffee liqueur
1 1/2 oz vodka
1/2 oz simple syrup

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for 15 - 20 seconds.
Strain and pour slowly into glass
